A life changing turn

I vividly remember sitting on the kitchen floor, exhausted, knees tucked under my chin, sobbing and telling myself again and again, 'everything is going to be okay.' When I felt convinced I stood up, took a deep breath then… sat back down on the floor and sobbed some more! Little did I know it would become a regular occurrence during the next few months.

Life became a very challenging jigsaw puzzle that I simply did not have the resources to put together on my own. Days consisted of minutes as I cried out desperately for God to intervene as I faced motherhood with a newborn, marriage separation and Post Natal Depression.

I noticed my toddler becoming acutely sensitive in trying to 'read' my expressions. Experience as an Early Childhood Teacher still left me feeling incompetent in helping him make sense of the dramatic changes to his little world. That's when ideas for this project emerged. I sincerely hope that my own journey will inspire hope, determination and courage in you in knowing there is a way through.
